Venue

The workshop will be held in Venice, Italy, beginning Monday, May 30th, and concluding Wednesday, June 1st, 2016.

Venice is one of the most beautiful and famous cities in the world, well known because relative land subsidence has seriously compromised the heritage and the safety of the city in relation of its small elevation above the Adriatic Sea.

The venue of the workshop will be the ISMAR-CNR (Institute of Marine Sciences of the Italian National Research Council) headquarter. ISMAR-CNR is located in four covered pavillons (“tese” in Italian) recently renovated in the Arsenale, a complex of former shipyards and armories clustered together. The Arsenale was the pulsing heart of the power and military strength of the Republic of Venice from the XII century.
